Mannersmith
Mannersmith
Background ~ Ettie Elephant
Ettie Elephant joined Mannersmith early in the summer of 2007 as the official mascot for the Mannersmith Manners for Minors Division. Ettie was selected from a field of candidates after demonstrating a high level of intelligence, expansive understanding of behavior, advanced methods of communication, and concern for others.

Ettie is well versed in elephant etiquette. Ettie has helped herds organize elephant day-care for little ones as well as planned greeting ceremonies for herd members who have been away for along time. Ettie also officiates at life-cycle events such as the mourning ritual for those elephants that have passed away.

Ettie, like all elephants, is highly social and used to being part of a highly functioning group. Ettie likes to play and laugh. Ettie is paid peanuts for the job, but quickly and politely added that good manners are their own reward.

Ettie knows that while we may forget what people say, we never forget how they make use feel and Ettie always remembers Manners Matter.
